Those SH do get thirsty.. our SG doesn’t get low between changes at all, I’m always watching the coolant bottle for HG symptoms though..

Mine is actually an SJ, but yep the FB25 motor is an oil drinker. I don’t think Subaru was quite ready for 0W-20. Good luck with the gaskets - are almost an inevitability of boxer life.

Switch to Rotella T6 by shell, the motor will sound better and burn much less oil....the only down side is a small 2-5% hit to mpgs.....maybe...but you’re spending that on oil.
